Chapel House Estate, Ramsgate

A kiss in Chapel House Estate's Wild Apple Orchard

I happened to do one of the very first weddings at Chapel House Estate, and, I haven’t looked back since! I guess you could say that I’m part of the furniture.

As a wedding photographer, Chapel House Estate in East Kent offers everything you need for capturing a picture-perfect day. With over 35 acres of scenic countryside, Chapel House has so many spaces perfect for capturing every moment. With both indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces, including a 13th century built Chapel and picturesque gardens with different areas, every part of your day is beautifully framed. Just 90 minutes from London and 35 minutes from Canterbury, Chapel House Estate combines elegance, convenience, and rustic romance.

Brides will get ready in the Beauty Lodge, one of Chapel House Estate’s 17 luxury Hideaway Lodges which offer's a great option for guest accommodation. Before moving over to the historic Chapel for final touches, I’ll usually catch up with the groom and their party for some fun pictures as they prepare for a big day.

Outdoor ceremonies take place in The Apple Orchard, which is a beautifully wild meadow with apple trees dotted around the seating. The restaurant actually uses the apples in a a few of it’s dishes.

From the ceremony, the couple spends a few minutes alone in the house before meeting up with their guests in the garden or courtyard for drinks and canapés. If we didn’t throw confetti exiting the ceremony, here’s where we get that magical shot, as they come back from the house!
