Pierremont Hall, Broadstairs

Amy and Andy’s intimate afternoon in Broadstairs

I love a local wedding day. Of course, it means I get a lie in, but more so that I get to celebrate a wedding day and the town I grew up in at the same time!

Amy and Andy had visited Broadstairs a number of times, staying in the same AirBnb each time, which is directly opposite their venue, Pierremont Hall.

A beautifully victorian start to the morning

Surrounded by victorian town houses, this little area is beautiful for a timeless wedding with a distinctly ‘city hall’ feel, which I LOVE. Built in 1785, Pierremont Hall a Grade II listed building in the heart of Broadstairs town, right on the high street. It’s a 5 minute walk from the beach and the same from the train station, which is about an hour and a half from London.

Pierremont Hall

Pierremont Hall has two ceremony areas: the Council Chamber Hall and the Music Room. Today’s ceremony was taking place in the newly licensed Music Room, which is a Grade II listed outbuilding to the side of the main venue, and is really intimate with room for 12 guests.

A moment together after the ceremony

After the ceremony, we had a little bit of time to celebrate with family and grab a few pictures around Pierremont Hall, before making the short walk down to Twenty Seven Harbour Street for lunch.

Family being family

This is real life, and I love it

With micro weddings, I always try and fit a few pictures into the short time we have where they occur naturally. The family needed to pick up their bags and push chairs from the accommodation, which gave us a couple of minutes to get those everyday romantic pictures together.

A 5 minute walk down the high street, with some candid photos along the way. Weddings that incorporate everyday life are some of my favourites. I’m always surprised how many passers by give their congratulations too! Restores faith in humanity.

Amazing how many real joyful moments you see on a walk between places

Twenty Seven Harbour Street, some of the best food in town

If you’re planning an intimate occasion with the people you value most, I’d love to be a part of it and capture some beautiful memories with you all.
